For publishers and agencies

German editions your catalogue can rely on

If you publish in German yourself, or place translations for authors, good chapters are not enough. Every book in a series has to match, one person has to answer for the text, and the files have to work for you as they arrive.

One standard across your catalogue

Every series gets its own series bible. Every name, term and form of address is decided once and held from Book 1 to Book 10, even when the books arrive months apart.

Before the first sentence I research the author, the genre and the German shelf, so the German fits what readers of that genre already buy.

Several checks, one named editor

Every chapter is checked against the English several times, each check with one job. Then I make the final edit myself, as a native German.

On a recent sample chapter, a first draft that read fine still had 40 things wrong, one of them a key fight scene that had been softened. That is what the checks are for. You deal with one named editor who is accountable for every page.

Files in your format, and they are yours

You get the German in the format you work in, ready for your own editing and typesetting. Full copyright transfers to you on final payment.

If you want it, each book also comes with a German title, blurb, keywords, categories and A+ content.

How a first test works

Pick one of your own titles and I translate a test chapter from it, with notes in English on the choices I made. You judge me on your book, not on a showcase piece.

Getting in touch

Write to me by email or through the contact form with the titles or series you have in mind. I reply in writing with what I need to set up the test chapter.

Have a series that needs a German edition?

Send me the titles by email or through the contact form, and I will set up a test chapter from one of them.
