Refer authors to me and earn 10%
I make German editions of English indie novels for Kindle Unlimited authors. You already help those authors with covers, edits, admin or marketing. If you send one my way and they hire me, I pay you 10% of everything they pay me in their first 12 months.
How it works
There is nothing to join and nothing to sign. I ask every new author who sent them. If they name you, the referral is yours.
Want to be sure? Send me a one-line email with the author's name as a heads-up. That's it. You keep doing your own work, and I handle the German edition with the author.
The terms
- 10% of everything the author pays me in their first 12 months
- Paid by Wise or PayPal within 7 days of each payment the author makes
- No sign-up, no contract, no quota, no obligation
- A referral counts when the author tells me you sent them
- A one-line email from you is a welcome heads-up, never a must
What your authors get
A complete German edition of their book or series. The German title, blurb, keywords and categories are included. The files are theirs, and so is the full copyright on final payment.
They see a sample chapter from their own book first, at no cost to them. Prices start at $0.02 per source word, so a standard 90,000 to 100,000 word novel runs $1,800 to $2,000. My German edition of Dante King's Der Seitenwächter climbed to #15 on Amazon.de's Cozy Fantasy chart in its launch weeks and holds 4.4 stars. See it on Amazon.de
Who to send my way
The best fit is an author with a series that sells in English and no German edition yet. Germany is one of the biggest Kindle markets.
Not sure if a client fits? Point them to me anyway. The sample chapter lets them judge for themselves.
Why I pay for referrals
A word from someone an author already trusts counts for more than any pitch I could send. That is worth paying for.
Forward this to an author
I know a translator who makes German editions of indie novels, and he starts with a sample chapter from your own book at no cost to you. Have a look at danielsokoll.com.
